MFW Vario Footpegs can be adjusted in 8 different positions and in three
different lengths. For a complete adjustable peg setup, you will need to purchase three of the below parts:
• Mounting Bracket - Front or Rear
• Displacement Arm - 23mm, 30mm, or 50mm
• Footpeg - Race or Master Grip design, Black or Silver color
These footpegs systems are made of
extremely high quality, CNCed aluminum that is cut specifically for BMW
motorcycles by MFW Germany. All needed bits for both a left and right peg are included when you
purchase the mounts, arms, and pegs. Installation takes minutes
using basic hand tools - the hardest part being compression of the OEM spring.
The product works very well with the shifter extension and setup works on all of the following motorcycles:
- BMW F800GS
-
BMW
F650GS Twin

Please note that the motorcycle pictured has a 23MM extension and the
Master Grip Peg in Silver installed. The included left peg cap was not
installed in the pictures. **
Rob Says:We've
been selling these from the first day we started offering parts and
accessories on F800Depot.com. These, by far, are the most popular peg
lowing kits on the market for the F800, and are what I currently have installed on
my F800S.
I can't stress enough the high quality of these -
they are better, in my opinion, than the OEM parts of the bike. They
also just happen to be very functional as well - they allow a mid, moderate, or significant relocation of the pegs. There are however two items
that I want to ensure that you are aware of when looking as these:
First
and foremost, they move your foot about a centimeter outward from the
center of the bike. It makes it a little more difficult to reach,
inward, the brake and shifter levers. I would suggest the shifter
lever extender and the corresponding adjustment to the lever position to offset this effect on the shifter side. The brake
feels, to me, much less affected.
Second is that while these
lower your foot, the don't lower the aforementioned levers. While this
doesn't really cause any issue on the 23mm or 30mm extenders, some find the 50mm
extender makes it a bit difficult to do what you need to downstairs.
I'd recommend that you try a set of the 23mm or 30mm extenders first then move
to 50mm if you feel that you absolutely need them.
